Southern Agents Conference: A Tradition for over 50 Years
Since 1971, the Southern Agents Conference (SAC) has brought together state association agents, leaders, and executives from across the Southeast for an annual workshop designed to foster collaboration, strengthen connections, and address shared challenges in the independent agency system.
Held each year in Atlanta’s Buckhead district, SAC welcomes over 250 attendees from 15 IIABA state associations: Alabama, Arkansas, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.
A Platform for Collaboration and Innovation
The SAC Workshop is a hub for networking, peer learning, and open dialogue. Attendees engage in meaningful, small-group breakout sessions tailored to focus areas, including:
- State Officers & National Directors
- State Executives
- Young Agents
- Association Products & Services
- Commercial & Personal Lines
- Education & Technology
- Legislative Affairs
These sessions promote idea sharing, problem-solving, and the development of strategies that support the success of independent agents across the Southeast.

The SAC Workshop thrives on the active involvement of carrier representatives, brokers, and vendor partners. These partners contribute not only as sponsors but also as thought leaders—sharing insights, products, and resources that fuel continued agency growth.
